Background and Education

 

• Native of Rome, born in 1954

• By age 11, taught himself to read and write music and play the piano

• Earned diplomas in piano, conducting and composition from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia

• Completed his theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University

• Earned a diploma in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute

• Ordained a priest on April 24, 1982

• Carries out his ministry as priest, musician and teacher in the Diocese of Rome with increasing liturgical and musical responsibilities.

• Called to lead spiritual exercises and lecture in many Italian and foreign diocese
