Under the direction of Dr. Robert Butts, the concert featured the world premiere of Puccini Suite by the internationally renowned composer Marco Frisina. Monsignor Frisina is one of the most beloved contemporary composers. Primarily known for his sacred compositions and his work at the Vatican, he has also composed operas and film music. His Puccini Suite had been adapted specifically for BONJ and the 2014 Festival by Monsignor Frisina from his score for the Italian miniseries on Puccini. Monsignor Frisina attended the concert to discuss his music and meet with listeners.
