In concert for the first time in the United States
directed by Marco Frisina
and accompanied by The Livingston Symphony Orchestra

Sponsored by the late Cav. Nunzio "Larry" Paragano, Monsignor and the choir came to the New York area for a tour with six concerts, three sacred, entitled "Open the doors for Christ" with songs written by Marco Frisina, and three "secular," called "Journey to Italy," with music in honor of the 150th anniversary of the reunification of Italy and in honor of the many Italian immigrants residing in the United States.

The sacred concerts were held in St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC, the Basilica Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ, and the Cathedral Basilica of Regina Pacis in Brooklyn, NY. The secular concerts took place in several theaters in the area; namely, the Patriots Theatre in Trenton, NJ, the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, NJ, and the Palace Theatre in Stamford, CT.

On June 9, the choir were guests on the NBC Today show where they sang the anthem for the beatification of John Paul II Open the Door to Christ.
